Every third movement the baby makes a touch of water with his/her ear, then gently place the baby on his/her stomach and dive under the water with his/her face only. Make sure that after touching the water with the ear the baby turns over on his/her belly with his/her head down. You can correct the entry into the water with your hands. If you do not respect the horizontal position of the body when turning to dive, the child will raise his head upwards and the water will fall into the nose. Your task is to do each approach with the correct technique. A child holds his breath when he touches the ear of water and feels the same as when pouring water on his face. Keep it cyclical for every 3 -movements and allow time to take a full breath before the next repetition.
And 3 key points that we pay attention to:
activating the breath hold (a bright breath after washing)
body language -body quite relaxed
neutral -positive emotions
If one of these points is not made we do not go further, and continue to practice. If emotions are negative, you go back to the previous step 2.
!!! We do not practice diving if the baby is crying, and we do not dive against his/her will. The only thing the child will remember is the emotion of the action, not the result.
